Officers from the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) carried out enforcement operations on Sunday, June 14, apprehending two local women suspected of involvement in immoral activities across the Brunei-Muara District.

The first arrest took place in Kampong Salambigar, where a 39-year-old woman was detained at a rented premises. Hours later, a second operation in Kampong Lumapas led to the apprehension of a 29-year-old woman, who is suspected of both participating in and facilitating similar unlawful conduct.

Evidence gathered during the raids and both suspects have been transferred to the unit's office for further examination and questioning. The authorities have begun their investigative process into the circumstances surrounding the allegations.

The RBPF stated it remains dedicated to rooting out activities linked to gambling and vice, emphasising that such enforcement efforts are necessary to uphold social standards and maintain community safety.
