Japan Executes Death Row Inmate Under New PM Takaichi
Japan has executed Sunao Takami, 58, convicted of a deadly 2009 arson attack on an Osaka pachinko parlour that killed five people. The execution is the first under newly installed Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
