Penang Halts Automatic Number Plate Recognition System Pending Comprehensive Review
Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has instructed the state's two city councils to immediately suspend the Automatic Number Plate Recognition system used for issuing parking compounds, pending a detailed review of the technology's implementation.
