The scale of infrastructure damage reveals how thoroughly the disaster ravaged the border region's physical foundations. Nepalese government assessments documented the destruction of at least 19 bridges, damage to 40 kilometres of roadway, and compromised functionality of 13 hydropower projects. Nepal's Foreign Minister Sishir Khanal told parliament that the floods effectively obliterated numerous hydropower facilities, government offices, and transportation infrastructure across the Rasuwa, Dhading, and Chitwan districts.
