Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has held discussions with Sheikh al-Azhar al-Sharif Prof Dr Ahmad al-Tayyeb regarding the expansion of Islamic understanding and dakwah efforts. The conversation took place following Anwar's recovery from surgery.
