Luang Namtha declared disaster zone as flash floods ravage northern Laos border region
Luang Namtha province in northern Laos has been declared a disaster zone following severe flash flooding triggered by heavy rains upstream. Over 30 villages have been affected, with critical infrastructure, farmland and the Boten economic zone impacted.
