US Returns Ancient Indonesian Buddhist Statues Seized in Antiquities Trafficking Investigation
The United States has repatriated two eighth-century bronze Buddhist statues to Indonesia, recovered during investigations into the illicit antiquities trafficking operation of dealer Douglas Latchford. The sculptures were surrendered voluntarily by a US collector.
