Nepal jails two ex-ministers over scheme to pass off Nepalis as Bhutanese refugees to US
A Kathmandu court has convicted two former Nepali government ministers of orchestrating a document forgery scheme that enabled Nepali citizens to fraudulently claim Bhutanese refugee status for US resettlement. Fourteen others also received jail sentences.
