Vietnam's President To Lam has characterised ties with Malaysia as increasingly dynamic, citing robust political trust and economic growth. Two-way trade reached US$10.8 billion in the first half of 2026, up 40 per cent year-on-year, positioning Malaysia as Vietnam's third-largest ASEAN investor.
